Summary of our film
A young adolescent boy goes up town to shop with his mother. Whilst walking around different shops Olly (the young boy) gets frustrated and acts spoilt, mithering his way into getting sweets, when he's finally bribed his Mum into having some money, he comes across a homeless tramp outside a shop window. After running to the nearest sweet shop the young lad thinks up a nice gesture, resulting in handing over his money to the homeless man. We want to create this film because it has a moral, and although it will be challenging to make we believe it will result in a very good production.
Draft Of script
Here are various different files including the drafts of our script, and what changes we've made to different parts of the story.
We started off the first script, with the little boy being about 6/7 years old, so the story was continuing as an innocent child not understanding why an old man was stood outside, which made him giggle. The mother then persuaded the young boy after a shopping trip to go back inside alone and fetch a newspaper for her, when the boy decided he was going to give all money to the old charity man instead.

Shortly after this we decided to change the age of the young lad, to alternate the story. This would mean that the young boy would now be 11/12 years old, just before teen years, so the young boy would now become lazy, arragant and ignorant to the mother like a stereotypical young lad. This is the beginning to the next script we wrote, which gave us some ideas into how we could develop it as a group.
From developing the start of the script above, it lead me into new ideas to now type up the whole idea. I decided to change the story slightly so that the mother would constantly be nagging the 'annoying' son, and repeating how he's spoilt rotten and always wants more. Which leads to the ending of the film being the little boy mithering for some food, so the mother gives him some money which she was about to pass to the charity man, and him running back into the supermarket for sweets. Leading him to realise that he should be kind and not 'spoilt rotten' by giving the charity man his money. By doing this i also created more of an ignorant look to the young lad.

We had to change a part of the story where the mother and little boy go into a supermarket and see the old man with a charity box. We changed this because we figured out a supermarket wouldn't allow us to film, because of it being so busy, especially around the Christmas period. We also changed the old man into a homeless tramp just lying outside a shop window, this is because the old man was too hard to find, however it would still end in the same moral. This is the finalized script. We also named the film 'Generosity' as this is the moral of the story.

FINAL SCRIPT.
I've changed some parts of the script after feedback from our questionnaire, so that the audience will synpathise with the tramp more, and the young boy is made to be seen as more of a spoilt brat.

We have created a questionnaire to ask our audience what they think of the film, and if they have any idea's to improve it. This is like our 'test screen', without actually screening it. It will help us to improve our film and change it if we need to.
Our Animatic
Our animatic is a digital storyboard of what our film will be like, it will give the audience more of an idea of what the film includes and it is something for them to give feedback on.
